Mower cylinder and bottom blade regrinding

Turfmech's Customer Services department is now able to carry out precision regrinding of cylinders and bottom blades from pedestrian, ride-on, trailed or tractor-mounted mowers. The resource is available for in-situ cylinders and bottom blades, in-frame cylinders or fully stripped-out machines.

The grinder chosen by Turfmech for the job is a state-of-the-art, computer-controlled Jupiter ATI Series 5 supplied and installed at Hixon by leading British manufacturer, Hunter Grinders. This machine combines the accuracy of relief grinding with the option of spin grinding and the ability also to regrind bottom blades.

Irrespective of the type of grinding selected, customers can be confident that the job will be carried out with optimum care and accuracy for first-class results, all within a guaranteed turn-around time.

Available all-year round within the Turfmech workshops, this is a valuable service for older machines still able to contribute to the profitability of your business, yet would benefit from a complete strip-down and rebuild.

Following a full inspection by Turfmech engineers - and the preparation and agreement of a quotation, if required - the machine is completely overhauled and the worn and broken items are replaced using genuine parts.

Working settings are restored as close as possible to those when new.The bodywork and guards can also be shot-blasted and resprayed to produce an "as-new" appearance.Turfmech offers a warranty on all refurbished equipment.

Operator training

Recommended for new operators and as an 'as needed' refresher for existing staff, operator training is best carried out on-site at the customers' premises, although training sessions can be held at the Turfmech factory, if required.

The courses cover driving, machine settings and regular maintenance and are designed to help owners and operators extract the maximum performance, reliability and working life from their Turfmech supplied product.

Service training

This is designed for end users and their engineers wanting to carry out more than simple everyday maintenance on their Turfmech supplied machines. Courses will cover the full range of a machines regular settings and service requirements, plus an overview of out-of-season overhauls and comprehensive advice and instruction on keeping the machine in first-class condition.

Hydraulic hose manufacture

Turfmech's parts department is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for the manufacture and pressure testing of new or replacement hydraulic hoses. If you need to replace a leaking, faulty or damaged hose or want a regular supply of new hoses, let us have the size(s) and your requirements and we will make up the hose to order.

A 'while-you-wait' service is offered for emergency breakdowns. Ask for our handy contact card which details the service in greater detail - keep it by the phone or in the cab of your machine.
