MaxiMow 13 and 17 trailed cylinder mowers

New from Turfmech are the MaxiMow 13 and MaxiMow 17 trailed hydraulic cylinder mowers, developed by Turfmech for use by turf growers and grounds care professionals cutting large open expanses of quality turf.

With maximum mowing widths of 9.06m (29ft 8in) and 11.75m (38ft 6in) respectively, the 13-gang MaxiMow 13 and 17-gang MaxiMow 17 are believed to be the widest commercially-available mowers of their type in the world.

For transport, both machines can be folded hydraulically in minutes down to 2.5m (8ft 3in) wide, enabling safe, easy movement between fields and along the public highway. Road safety

is further enhanced by an hydraulically-braked transport axle.

The MaxiMow 13 has a tractor PTO horsepower requirement of 85 – 90hp and is capable of cutting up to 9 ha an hour (22 acres/hr) at a forward speed of 10 km/h (6.2mph).

The larger MaxiMow 17 requires a tractor producing 100 - 110hp at the PTO and has a workrate of 12 ha an hour (30 acres/hr) at a forward speed of 10km/h.

Both mowers can be specified with the choice of 200mm (8in) or 250mm (10in) diameter cylinders, the latter available in fixed head form only fitted with six knives. The smaller 200mm diameter cylinders are offered with the choice of four, six, eight or 11 knives, available in both fixed and floating head form.

Full technical specifications of the two new mowers are detailed on a low resolution brochure which can be viewed on your computer screen by clicking here. If you would prefer to download a printable version of the MaxiMow 13 & 17 brochure (1.4mb), please click here.

Pro-Max 36

Designed principally for larger turf growers, the Pro-Max 36, when used in conjunction with the Progressive TD92, will provide a massive 10.9m (36ft plus) working width.

Look at its features:

Recommended power requirement (80hp - 110hp).

Operator friendly, low maintenance and ease of operation.

Hydraulically folding arms bring the mowers into line behind the frame for compact transport.

Deep deck skirts and high lift blades create a powerful vacuum that lifts the grass for a clean, even cut and then disperses the clippings without leaving windrows in both wet and dry conditions.

The Pro-Max 36 shares the same key parts as the TD92, thus keeping spare parts requirements to a minimum.

Gives a potential workrate of 26 acres an hour (10.5ha/hr) at 6mph.
